Getting Started via EDI
In order to file manifest information via EDI to meet the requirements of the ACE Electronic Truck Manifest your company must write a letter of intent. The letter of intent must be written on your company’s letterhead and include:
- Contact information for you company’s principal and technical management
- Your company’s SCAC or SCAC’s
- The ports of entry where your trucks cross and the approximate number of crossings per year at each port location
- That your company will be using Kleinschmidt for MQ communications
All companies that develop their own internal ACE Truck Manifest application must pass the applicable tests included in the ACE Users Test Guide. The test guide is provided by CBP after receipt of the letter of intent.
