Signing up for EPIRA is easy and inexpensive. Access to the application costs $30 per month. Here's how the sign-up process works: Contact your customer as listed in EPIRA's Railroad Contacts. The customer will provide you with a "customer-assigned ID," which you will need to complete the online registration form. Read the Kleinschmidt EPIRA Agreement [38K PDF file]. (The Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view PDF files. It may be downloaded free of charge from Adobe's Web site.) Kleinschmidt provides the server and software necessary to make EPIRA work. After reading the agreement, print, sign, and fax a copy to 847-945-4619, to the attention of Stevie Schmidt. You will need to contact your customer to get the customer-assigned ID needed to complete the form. Your completed registration will be sent to both Kleinschmidt (to activate the billing process) and to your railroad customer (to set up their systems). It takes approximately three business days for this process to be completed, after which time you will receive a company ID and password from Kleinschmidt (it's recommended that you change your password immediately so you have a unique, memorable code). Once you've received your ID and password, you'll have secured access to view and print purchase orders and send invoices.
