We’re excited to announce that Kleinschmidt’s Vice President of Sales, Doug Anderson, has once again won reelection and will continue to serve as the chairman of X12’s Transportation subcommittee. For over 40 years, X12 has driven the development of the EDI messaging standards utilized for the vast majority of electronic business-to-business transactions exchanged across the North American transportation, supply chain, retail, healthcare, finance and insurance industries.
Chartered over 40 years ago by the American National Standards Institute, X12 serves to develop and maintain the standards and schemas that comprise the structure of EDI transactions and documents powering electronic business-to-business processes and economic activity across North America and around the world.
X12’s Transportation subcommittee, X12I, is responsible for the development and regular maintenance of components of the X12 EDI standards related to the transportation industry’s business activities, including air, marine, rail, and motor freight transportation, including logistics, customs and multi-modal activities. Mr. Anderson, a long serving member of the transportation and trucking industry prior to his tenure at Kleinschmidt, has utilized his decades of experience to not only develop and iterate the X12 standards that enable our nation’s rapidly evolving supply chains, but to leave a long lasting legacy on the nation’s supply chain processes through the implementation of the ACE and ACI programs within the U.S. and Canadian Customs agencies.
